Ladies Centex 2012

In 2009 Woman Scorned qualified for UPA College Nationals for the first time. We took the wildcard bid in the first year that the tournament was expanded to a 20 team format, and we placed tied for 15th in the nation. After turning a few more heads and putting our name on the radar, a few more doors opened for our team in 2010. One of these doors came in the form of an invite to College Women’s Centex in Austin, TX.

In 2010, we entered as the 15th seed and held seed winning only our cross over game that year and double forfeiting our last game to Ottawa for travel reasons. This first Centex really provided our team with an introduction to high level ultimate tournaments. In 2011, we started the tournament with a seeding which put us in division 2. This allowed us to play several other challenging teams and have the opportunity to win our cross over and break seed finishing 15th at the tournament once again.

This year, Scorned once again made the 15ish hour trip to Austin to compete in the College Women’s Centex tournament. Coming into the tournament seeded 4th, we had the opportunity to match up against 3 competitors we had not seen yet this spring season.
Cars arrived in Austin in shifts all safely and thankfully in time for games. Scorned was lucky enough to stay with THE CHAD LARSON (the legend, not the team.) Unfortunately, we were cut down to only 16 of our 21 person roster due to a variety of conflicts, but the team was held together from all sources via text, twitter, and in WS spirit. Friday night, the first cars of ladies hit up the field site for free pizza, games, and ultimate fun with other teams who had arrived early for the "Centex Mixer." The night ended early for some, while the late cars showed up at various times throughout the night.

Saturday morning finally came and the late start to games was a blessing for our team who were all feeling the pain of driving 16 hours to get there. We took the fields a whopping hour and a half early, which allowed us plenty of time to warm up and prepare for game one. Virginia Hydra was our first game of the tournament and they were definitely ready to give us some competition both on the field and on the sidelines (one of the only teams to challenge WS's cheering abilities at the tournament-and of course Flywheel). The first points of the game were fought hard with both teams keeping it close, but Scorned pulled away a bit to take half 8-4. With a clever suggestion from Annihka, Cami put “Meet Virginia” on Boomy at half and we attempted to serenade them from across the field. Coming out of half, Scorned let silly mistakes and less than ideal decisions allow Hydra to capitalize and bring the score up to 12s on universe point. After taking a breath and having Coach K/Dad remind us how we play ultimate best, we did our thing and were able to take the game point for the first win of the tournament.

Woman Scorned over University of Virginia Hydra 13-12

Our next game was versus regional match up Carleton College. These girls have the height and intensity to make any team intimidated, but we held our average of 5’4” line with pride and came out hard. Scorned was able to take the first few points before Syzygy answered back. Points were traded for a while, but we took half once again at 8-4. After some time in the shade and Coach Lana teaching us how to kill a mouse, we took the field ready to finish stronger than the Virginia game. We played hard and took the win but not without Carleton putting up a great fight to make us earn every point.

Woman Scorned over Carleton College Syzygy 15-10

Our final game of the day was versus the defending national champions, UCSB Burning Skirts. Our last match up with these ladies was at Nationals last year in a close pool play game where they took the game 13-11 and went on to win it all. Scorned was fired up and ready to hold the first seed of our pool by winning this last game. We took no time to get into our groove and took control of the game’s tempo immediately. Looking strong, Scorned took half 8-3 and hit up some shade to practice throwing goldfish crackers and gummy bears into each others' mouths. We also learned that Lana has an insanely large mouth. Coming out of half, we were ready to finish the game and get some rest for the people who had driven through the night. Scorned rolled out of half and took the win.

Woman Scorned over University of California Santa Barbra Burning skirts 15-7

After dinner and ice baths, some girls hit up the dance off to watch SOL win yet another title. Congrats on yet another amazing dance ladies! After the dance-off, second dinner was consumed, homework was at least attempted, the last unicorn was watched, and most of the team went to bed early. After shooting the shit with Mom and Dad (Kevin and Lana) for a while, eventually we all passed out with high hopes for Centex Sunday.
Morning came way too early with some confusion about a duck call ring tone and the song Halo bringing us back into a conscious state of mind. Slight car trouble slowed us down, but eventually we all made it to the fields with a little bit of time left to warm up and our first game was on started.
Pre-quarters had us up against Central Florida Sirens (not to be confused with Loyola Sirens, which we definitely did while trying to make friends at Nashville…awkward-sorry about that). We had seen these ladies at MWTD and remembered that they knew how to fight. Scorned came out a little groggy but took half 8-5. Scorned took half time to put on sun screen and finish warming up, but the Sirens came out of half more fired up and ready to fight. Miscommunication and disruption in our flow allowed Central Florida to take advantage and pull the score up to 10-11 in a game to 12. Kevin and Lana once again calmed us down and reminded us how to play our game. With some patience and concentration we took the field, got the O score to tie it up on universe. Fired up and not ready to give up our chance at the championship game, Scorned got the turn we needed on defense and converted the score to take the game.

Woman Scorned over Central Florida Sirens 12-11

Quarters provided us with a game against UBC who had really cool animal jerseys. Scorned came out fired up and took the first 5 points of the game. UBC took a T. O. which allowed them to regroup and answer back with a 3 point run of their own. Both teams recuperated and set their groove, but Scorned took half 8-6. In the half time shade, Scorned did some soul searching and found the answer to our game through Kevin’s advice of unselfishness and teamwork. Coming out of that half time, we really set the tone for our style and the rest of the tournament. Finding our flow, we finished off the game 12-10 and were on our way to the semi-finals.

Woman Scorned over University of British Columbia Thunderbirds 12-10

Semi’s was against our friends from Michigan. This matchup was one we saw at Nashville in the semi-finals only a couple weeks prior. Scorned started the game with Boomy blaring some Gaga and Scorned immediately playing our game. Michigan proved to be a tough competitor, never allowing an easy score and making us work for every D. Much like Nashville, this was a very intense game but not at the expense of great spirit and friendliness on the field and sidelines. Fighting every point, Scorned took half at 8-5 and finished the game up 14-10. They also did the Great Lakes Great Times cheer which has been in my head ever since...
Woman Scorned over University of Michigan Flywheel 14-10

Finals provided us with a rematch from the Saturday’s last game. UCSB took the field with us, ready to give us a run for our money. Scorned came out fired up as well, and took the control of the game with our offense still flowing beautifully. Offensively, the skirts made us work on D, testing our endurance and strategies. The skirts had some great plays with huge layouts, but we were working the disc too well to be stopped. Scorned took half 8-4, keeping in theme of the weekend (lots of 8-4 half time scores). The second half just amplified our excitement. We rolled out of half, working the offense and shutting down on defense. Every player on our line was working hard to make plays and our depth, training, and intensity really showed through. We took the game win and the tournament win for our first ever Centex championship!

Woman Scorned over UCSB Burning Skirts 15-8

After cool down and snaps, we jumped in the car for a 16 hour, character building drive home through the night. Monday classes were rough, to say the least, and WS ladies were passing out in buildings all over campus to attempt to catch up on lost sleep. We are so excited about our win, happy to be back in Ames as a whole team (safe and sound), and ready to see what happens with bid allocations for the North Central Region (four, four, four!).

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Michelle for another fabulous tournament. Also thank you for the opportunities you have provided us the past years to get us here. Big thanks to Texas Melee ultimate, first a great 3-day scrimmage over spring break and then a great Centex tournament! You guys rock.

We want to send a special thank you to Chad Larson for letting us crash his house and get the full "experience". It was amazing! Gigantic thanks to Rachel Derscheid and Jon Staron for celebrity coaching us the week before Centex. Also thank you for the goodies. The Red Thunder definitely saved lives on the drive home (Cami drank like 6). Thanks to Mom and Dad for coming down to coach us. Huge thanks to everyone who followed us the whole weekend with text messages and Twitter. We read them all out loud and they kept us fighting hard!

Why Do You Love Ultimate?

This past spring break I was visiting family and chatting with them about my life. Despite my feable attempts to reach out and expand my life, time has really limited most of what I have going on to veterinary school and ultimate frisbee. As we were talking, my passion for the sport was pretty clear and the question arose, "Why do you like ultimate so much?"

I think most people who play ultimate would say that it is pretty addictive, but what is it exactly that makes ultimate so great? I have heard people say that the fact that the disc floats makes it such a unique sport. This makes sense, since the physics of ultimate are different than others. We are able to run faster than the disc flies some times which allows for laying out and jumping high for floaty discs.

Others claim that spirit of the game (SOTG) is what makes ultimate so unique. I do believe that in the college and club women's game (the two that I have played, thus the only I can speak for) this still has meaning and does set the game apart from others I have played.

I think these ideas are legitimate reasons, but I don't think they are why I am so in love with this sport. Honestly, I don't think I can pick just one reason. Instead, I think I will just post a list of some of my favorite things about playing ultimate (these are probably more specific to Woman Scorned, but that's ultimate to me).

1. Boom box respect
2. Our janky handmade flag
3. Double handed high fives
4. Rushing the field
5. Watching the energy on the field change because of sideline cheers
6. Heckling teammates
7. Heckling friends on the opposing team
8.Team huddles
9. Giving people nicknames
10. Sleeping in the most random places to save $10 a night on hotels, but being willing to drive 30+ hours (at $4/gallon) to play 8 or 9 hours of ultimate
11. Cheering on other teams we are friends with
12. Getting ridiculous tan lines
13. Playing with 100% heart and passion, and being able to put it all out on the field
14. Pump up buddy gifts before and during tournaments. I love ridiculousness.
15. Playing defense while jacked on Red Bull

Phone a friend on Gchat (at 12:30 am)- Why do you love ultimate?

"I get to escape my life for an entire weekend, I get to hang out with my team and kick butt, and I get a personal trainer" - Annihka Murray (WS)

"I love the competitive, yet friendly atmosphere at tournaments between the teams and also, that the teams can play fair without having to have a ref." - Ashley Bomar (WS alumni)

"I love ultimate because of the great community of people and how positively the sport and people have impacted my life over the past 8 years." - Michelle Ng (Molly Brown Town, Texas and Cal alumni)

"I love the people and the community, and how strongly it influences everybody - myself, my friends, my family" -Magon Liu (WS)

"Well I mean there are multiple reasons why I love/play the sport --for the competitive side, success/glory, etc...but I guess when I look back on it all, I've realized my teammates have been the main reason why I have fallen in love with the sport and community." - Christy Cheung (KU Betty)

Let's see if anyone reads this blog. Feel free to comment with what you love about ultimate, please.

Nashville Mashup (#NashvilleMashup)

Spring break is always a fluster bucket of challenges. This year was nothing short of that, from determining the tournament to actually getting there, we were jumping hurdles the whole way. With the insanely talented combination of Cami, Pesch, Mag, Becca, and a few others, the team made it safely out of Ames and into Nashville at as reasonable of a time as possible. Probably the coolest part of this story is that Woman Scorned was COMPLETELY full squad!

Our first game on Saturday morning put us up against North Central Region friends, Belle Donna. These ladies have a rich history of bringing insane competition on the field, and they did anything but disappoint. Wisconsin’s handler defense was by far the most intense we have seen this season, and their cutter bracketing gave Scorned a little trouble during the early parts of the game. Becca and Cami had big grabs in the end zone, while Mag laid it out for another score. Daisy snagged a disc at the same time as a Wisco girl, and refused to give up the turn on offense. Bosco got a nice hand block in to force a turn, and Annihka was busting run-through D’s out left and right.

Woman Scorned over University of Wisconsin Bella Donna 13-10

The second game was preceded by a bye, during which much of WS watched the Michigan v. Rice game and put some great puppy temp. tats on our biceps, faces, calves, and necks. Bosco ended up looking fairly similar to Nationals 2011 (minus the blue hair), and the rest of us rocked our “puppy love” almost as proudly.

Game two put us up against Texas. Last season’s record with them was 1-1, with both games ending on universe point. Needless to say, we were excited to play this intense matchup again. Melee’s cutters proved difficult to shut down under, but our offense answered back just as strong. Despite last year’s difficulty breaking their unique zone, Kaira and Bosco managed to set the stage for our zone O, working it up the field with no less than 10 give-and-go throws to score the goal. Pesch had a great D in this game, with a quick and wobbly throw to Jess in the end zone for the snag and score. This game ended in hard cap with a super long and confusing conversation in which both sides worked their best to figure out exactly what the score was, and it became clear that neither Iowa State nor Texas proved to be very good at mathematical score keeping concepts (of Science and Technology…not mathematics).

Woman Scorned over University of Texas Melee 12-11

Our last pool play game and last game of the day was against UNCW. This game was much anticipated since the match up was rare if ever in the history of the two teams. There may or may not have been a few bets placed before and during the game, which intensified the competition and made for some great points. Alyssa had a sweet snag in this game. Daisy had a game changing D to pump up in intensity in the second half. Janani caught a goal to tie the game at 11’s, but UNCW took the game on Universe point with a great layout grab by Camille Patterson. While all of Scorned enjoyed this intense match up, Cami Nelson really had the game of her life. Despite her book ends with a HUGE D and sky for the score, Cami found her Seaweed twin (also Nelson #16) and locked down a jersey trade come the end of the season.  Just when we thought Cami’s crush on UNCW couldn’t get any bigger, this game took her head-over-heals in love.

UNC-Wilmington over Woman Scorned 13-12

With the early finish in games, Scorned took advantage of the break before clinics to go check out the Country Music Hall of Fame…except it was $20 so they chose to dink around in Nashville instead (Apparently it was on Cami’s bucket list… but only if free). The day was followed up by all of WS learning a new thing or two at the WL clinics. After getting back from the fields, Gapstur’s aunt and mom had prepared a DELICIOUS spaghetti meal that we all devoured and followed up with some jacuzzi ice baths and movies before bed time.

Sunday morning came way too early after losing an hour of sleep due to the clock changing thing (I can never remember which is which). Game one was pushed back to 9 am thankfully, and Scorned was put up against Ottawa in the Quarters game. Weino and Denver got Scorned pumped up during this game when they busted out the flag and put the sidelines to work. This game was intense, with Ottawa fighting hard the entire game and never giving up an easy advance. At one point during a call, they all started speaking French and Scorned became uber confused and flustered. While they looked incredibly intelligent, working multiple languages, Gap kept skipping stall counts because she couldn’t remember how to count to ten in the right order. Becca, Bosco, and Daisy all rocked some D’s out in this game. Mag had a double bobble grab followed by a quick dish to Cami for the score, and Daisy made the last grab to end the game. Hoistad had multiple hand blocks in this game as well, to add to her lengthy list of them from the weekend.

Woman Scorned over Ottawa 15-8

Our Semi’s game was against Michigan Flywheel. This was definitely an exciting match up for us, and one we had been amped about all weekend. Last season, WS had several extremely intense games against Flywheel and developed an odd relationship that resulted in some friendly gift giving at nationals (we can’t tell you how much we appreciated that ladies…especially Mag). Scorned came out hard, taking the first 3 points of the game before Flywheel could answer back. Flywheel brought back the fight to make it close around 6s. Scorned took half at 8-6. Annihka had an insane grab, despite Michigan’s near D. Cami brought down a disc and gave a high release toss to Becca for the score. Gap and Bosco gave Michigan handlers the pressure defense needed to shut down their flow and result in a few Ds. Scorned fought this game out all the way to the end, taking the game 13-12 and maintaining control of the game throughout. This game was a ton of fun to play, both teams held great spirit and there was no lack of camaraderie on or off the field. Once again, Michigan got that flippin’ that cow bell cheer in our heads for the next couple weeks, but thankfully they refrained from the super catchy “great lakes, great times” one (I had that stuck in my head from Centex to Nationals last year). We definitely have some mad respect for their cheering dedication.

Woman Scorned over University of Michigan Flywheel 13-12

Finals were like déjà vu from the past weekend. Iowa versus Iowa State were in the finals and it was another North Central match up game. Scorned didn’t come out as well as Saucy and Iowa took the lead from the get go. The teams traded points with the wind most of the time, although for a while both teams were scoring up wind points. Scorned tied it back up at 12s, but Saucy took the win by scoring the next 3 points. The biggest highlight of this game was for our newest rookie, Bows (Megan Jenkins)! She had a sick snatch over her defender in the end zone. Sam had a great D in this finals game as well. The biggest accomplishment of the weekend was our fight as a cohesive team. Throughout the entire tournament, our entire roster of 21 girls was played, strengthening the depth of our team and proving our talent as a united force. We are so proud of our rookies and above for stepping up, making plays, and contributing to the team from the field to the sideline. Everyone truly gave their all for the team, and that commitment was evident through our games and field atmosphere.

Saucy Nancy over Woman Scorned 12-15

After games, the team did some cool down stretching and recapped the great contributions of each player to the weekend. With the exception of Cami snapping herself for finding her twin on Seaweed (kidding…but not really), it was very evident that we had done a great job of accomplishing our goals for the weekend and started our spring break (oh dozen) out the right way! Afterward, the majority of Scorned showered and headed to Texas for a team building retreat and scrimmage with UT outside of Austin, TX…. And some serious spring break action. Meanwhile, the rest of us hit up down town Nashville for some honkey tonkin’ and dinner. Gap’s aunt gave a tour of the town, and eventually Scorned ended the night dancing to some good old country music. The after party involved a repeat of SBohoneone, and some sister teaming it up with UNC Wilmington in an expedition to find the cheapest blue ribbon that Nashville had to offer. With an early start the next morning of 5:30 am, the rest of Scorned hopped in the van and make the trek back to Iowa.

The biggest thank you to Mag, Hoistad, and Jiear for being amazing and managing calling lines while killing it on the field. Thank you to Michelle for another great tournament. Thanks to all of the clinic coaches for your great advice.  HUGE thanks to Cami, Pesch, and Becca for figuring out cars and stuff. Thanks to Texas for our team building scrimmage week.

Midwest Throwdown: The Unknown

You have to love Midwest Throwdown because not only is it the first tournament of the spring season for many Midwest teams, but it is also a HUGE gamble on so many other factors. In 2010 the weather was beauuuutiful, but it was followed in 2011 with terribly chilly temperatures, slightly unreasonable wind…and rain. With the flashbacks of last year we were determined to be prepared and beat the rain, cold, and our not so satisfactory finish. The past two weeks, as I watched the forecast jump around from freezing and rainy to 60’s and sunny, all I could think about was how awesome it was going to be to get outside and be able to play with all of my teammates rather than against them like in practice.

This past week was the biggest #strugglefest for our team, trying to get sprints and lifting in, getting to practices, cleaning Hilton for fundraising, and all while trying to pass our midterm exams. Finally loading into the vans and driving out of Ames was a mixture of exhausted relief and nervous excitement for the tournament. A good night’s sleep at Gibbs and Blake’s house was exactly what we needed before Saturday’s games.

Our first game was versus the hosts- Washington University WUWU. Wind and getting used to being outside was the name of that game. WUWU offered up intense defense and gave Scorned trouble both under and deep. Their zone was challenging to break through, and stand out players created turbulence in our flow. The highlight of this game was Caitie Bosco for the most ridiculous point probably of the tournament. After forcing the turn with a hand block on the mark, she caught an up field after bobbling the disc several times, stood up, and threw a 20 yard pass to the end zone which was D’d and tipped to hang in the air for a moment. To everyone’s disbelief, somehow Bosco managed to be in the space to lay out and grab the floaty disc for the assist and score. It was ridiculous! Taking it to hard cap, Scorned took the win.

10-9 Woman Scorned over Washington University, WUWU

Our second game put us up against Northwestern, a team full of talented and fun ladies with great hucks and big play defense. The wind picked up a little more for this game, and so did the punting. The Northwestern coach put it pretty accurately, “this is a game of field position.” Within the first 8 points, neither team scored an upwind point, although there were a few close attempts. After some readjusting, Scorned started to solidify our strategy and maintain possession (a little) better. After a getting some breaks on the board, we rallied hard and kept pushing to take the win. This game was filled with big hucks and great grabs by all of our cutters down field.

11-4 Woman Scorned over Northwestern, Gungho

The last pool play game was against Central Florida. After seeing these poor girls in only shorts and sweatshirts, there was quite a bit of pity and discussion about the probable lies that Michelle must have told them about the weather in Northern Missouri in early March. Sirens did anything but let the weather slow them down though, coming out to take the first 3 points of the game. Luckily, Jazzy-J showed up on our sideline with gifts of chocolate and pretzels to raise our spirits and get us back in the game! Scorned came back strong to tie the game up at 4’s. Scorned and CF dueled it out for the remainder of the game, trading points with the wind, but things got interesting when soft cap went on with the score being 6’s and Central Florida having the wind advantage. CF took the downwind point to make it 7-8, and we realized we were going to have to convert down wind and then make the break upwind on universe to win. With the addition of a few new friends/fans on the side line and everyone into the game, we did just that! After a turn over (possibly hand block or D??) near the upwind end zone, Gapstur to Becca was all it took to make the conversion and take the win! Despite the chilly Saturday, we were glad CF made the trip to the Midwest to compete with us.

8-7 Woman Scorned over University of Central Florida, Sirens

The last game of the day was a cross over with the division 2. This game was versus SOL, our long-standing sister team from the North Country. These ladies were also happy to be escaping snow and cold weather, and it showed through their energy and intensity on defense. As always, this game was fun spirited and enjoyable on all accounts. The game ended with a pre-planned line of fist pump-blow ups to cheer our friends.

14-2 Woman Scorned over University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, SOL

Highlights from Saturday:
-seeing all of our alumni and club friends and teammates
-trying to unzip the sleeves of Michelle’s winter coat
-playing real OUTDOOR spring ultimate

Saturday night was nothing short of amazing. Butcher’s dad invited us and ISUC over for a homemade pork chop dinner, desert, hot tub time, and a some frisbee team fun. Both ISUC and Scorned went 4-0 for the day, so there was much to celebrate.

Sunday morning was much more pleasant with significantly less wind and sunny skies for the first couple games. Quarters put us up against Minnesota first. These ladies are some of our favorites, always bringing the competition hard on the field and never being anything less than a great time. Highlights of this game were big hucks and great lays all around. Mag started out the game right with a huge layout grab for the score on point one.

15- 4 Woman Scorned over University of Minnesota, Ninjas

Semis was a rematch with WUWU in an extremely hard fought battle for the finals. Wash U came out harder, taking the first couple points of the game. Uncharacteristically, this game involved a lot of calls. The defense from both teams was as intense as it gets, with lay outs and pressure in every direction. One highlight involved a huck to the end zone where Cami “the Macassistor” Nelson jumped for the near grab, resulting in a mac for the score by a great grab for the score by Annihka. Scorned rallied hard out of half time to take the game for a trip to the ship.

12-9 Woman Scorned over Washington University, Tilt (or WUWU…cus that’s what everyone actually calls them)

Finals was against none other than Saucy Nancy. There are few rivalries as rich in intensity and friendship as this one. This matchup is guaranteed to occur a minimum of about 6 to 7 times per season, and there is no other team that we know as well on or off the field. With high school friends and club teammates all the way from players to coaches, this match up is always guaranteed to result in a great game. Scorned came out strong after the first point, going up 4-1 in the beginning of the game. Saucy adjusted well and came back to tie the game at 6’s. Despite this run, we fought back with passion and took half with a score from Pesch to Becca (doubly defended) off of a time out on the end zone line. Coming out of half, Scorned rallied hard. As ISUC showed up to help cheer us on, we rushed the field with flags in hand as we continued to build our lead. Saucy never let up, pushing our handlers to work the disc amongst themselves down much of the field with their intense zone defense.

Everyone from our oldest vets to our youngest (and oldest-Bows) rookies truly stepped up in this game. Jess had an insane layout D to prevent the score, Bows also had a D on a veteran opponent, Gapstur had multiple D’s in one of the points, Janani, Bows, and Anne had monstrous grabs to score, and Kaira, Mag, Pesch, Becca, Bosco, Hoistad, Cami, and Jiear were laying out for grabs. Annihka, Denver, Weino, Alyssa, and Daisy were unstoppable once the handlers we able to advance the disc past the cup. Britt, Pesch, and Sam were especially solid handlers, keeping the disc in the hands of the good guys while patiently working it up the field. Lana, Weino, Sam, and Denver owned the sideline talk, getting us beyond pumped with field cheers and great sideline talk. Coach K was the real talk of the fields though. He was lookin’ fly, coaching it up while rockin’ the cargo shorts and black tights. All in all, it was a great finals game, with the best competition.

14-9 Woman Scorned of University of Iowa, Saucy Nancy

Highlights from Sunday:
-Weino’s calling her first foul ever
-Kevin’s cargo cutoffs
-Winning Midwest Throwdown for the first time ever
-Driving home in a winter storm

Despite coming into the weekend with many factors unknown, the results came out better than we could have imagined. The competitive experience for everyone on our team was better than we could have asked for, the weather (though challenging at times) was perfect to dive us into outdoor ultimate, and the entire weekend was more fun that we can even explain. Huge thanks to Michelle Ng and WUWU for hosting. Thanks to all of our alumni and fans for the support. Thanks to ISUC for the support during the finals, and to Mr. & Mrs. Butcher for dinner and entertainment on Saturday night.  Thanks and love to Gibbsy and Blake for hosting all 22 of us in your house!

One week until Nashville, and so much more work to do!

Scorned Love.

Follow Us to Midwest Throwdown

After months of indoor ultimate, theming our practices to spice things up and practice for Fool's Fest, and six workouts per week, Woman Scorned is about to journey to St. Louis for our first outdoor tournament of the 2012 Spring season. Excited is an understatement, when attempting to describe our emotions about this weekend.
