Seeing double?
Nope, that's just Taiwo's better half (and I don't mean her fiance John Misra.)
Because twin sister Tai began in the Ultimate scene long before Love came along to join the program, people everywhere constantly confuse the two anywhere one or the other of them can be found. Luckily those of us here at Iowa State have come to know and appreciate the differences of Kehinde "Love" Anjonrin-Ohu.
Having had to follow Tai's footsteps in Ultimate, I know that love has one of the best albeit severest of critics...imagine how tough a person can be on herself during her own individual play and double that for Love! It's like there are two of her offering constructive criticisms! Luckily, this offers Love the best opportunities of improving herself and as far as drive and desire to do just that, Love takes the cake. This girl will do whatever it takes to improve and during this past season, I've seen her run faster, jump higher, catch more discs, and cut to more wide open spaces then I've ever seen her do before. What's most impressive to me is how she's the most improved than anyone in the mental game. She understands the structure of offense, defense and picks up on the nuances of the game better than her teammates and when she doesn't understand something, she asks one question and gets it figured out. This girl is beginning to be able to do it all. I recently saw a 20 plus yard huck and awesome throwing decision from this girl during practice and my reaction was only a wide open mouth.
For the better part of Love's college career, she spent her time leading the fastest growing club on Iowa State, "Dub-H," the hip-hop dance group. Choreographing some of the sickest moves this side of Mason-Dixon line. She's the brainchild behind the Women Scorned dance that went down at Centex. Coming from the point of view of a coach and former captain, I could NEVER command the attention of teammates and players like she did during those nights of dance practice. It was like the moment she said something or started to show a move, those girls shut up and
listened. You know you've got major moving skills when you've got that amount of respect!
See, she's just best described in pictures if you can't meet her contagious personality up close and personal. I have the honor of working as a server in the same restaurant as this girl and she can woo customers like no body's biznaz. I'm almost positive they spend more money on dinner just because of how bright and wide she can flash that dimpled smile. She's got a way with words, a way with dancing, and a way with working her defenders...what a triple combo! Watch out all you single fellas because can this girl PARTY too!
Cute...as...a....button! This girl doesn't even have to be playing and she is one of the best additions to our team. With her bubbly spirit and huge giggle, she's always down for having fun and bringing everyone up in spirit along with her. She makes the effort to cheer whenever possible and as loudly as possible. This is "Love" Anjonrin-Ohu and just you don't wait and see that you actually do, fall in love with her.
